Tasting Notes

Opens with captivating aromas of ripe yellow apple, white peach, preserved lemon, honeysuckle, fresh almond, and delicate white flowers, complemented by subtle notes of brioche, toasted hazelnut, and crushed limestone. With over a decade of bottle age, it has evolved into an elegant, complex Meursault with exceptional balance, finishing long and persistent with saline freshness, citrus zest, and lingering mineral precision.

Pairings

pairs exceptionally well with elegant, richly textured dishes such as butter-poached lobster, seared scallops, turbot or Dover sole in beurre blanc, and roast free-range chicken with morel cream sauce. Its vibrant minerality and refined acidity also make it a superb match for porcini or truffle risotto, veal tenderloin with mushroom cream, roast guinea fowl, and aged cheeses, where the wine's mature complexity and saline precision beautifully enhance each dish.

Decant

While decanting is not essential, allowing the 2013 Bernard Bonin Meursault Les Tillets to breathe for 20–30 minutes. Serve at 12–13°C to fully appreciate its complexity, texture, and mineral precision.

Drinking Window

2020–2033+. Properly cellared bottles should continue to evolve gracefully through 2033 or beyond, gaining additional nuances of honey, toasted nuts, brioche, and truffle while maintaining the elegance that defines Bernard Bonin.
