Tasting Notes

Opens with an expressive bouquet of honeyed apricot, candied citrus, ripe pineapple, lemon curd, and orange zest, layered with delicate floral nuances, sweet spices, and hints of toasted brioche. A long, elegant finish marked by remarkable balance, complexity, and persistence.

Pairings

Pairs beautifully with foie gras, blue cheeses, lobster, and roasted poultry with fruit-based sauces. It also complements spicy Asian cuisine, where its sweetness balances heat and spice. For dessert, it is an excellent match for crème brûlée, fruit tarts, and vanilla-based pastries. A classic pairing with foie gras or Roquefort remains one of the finest ways to enjoy this prestigious Sauternes.

Decant

Not require decanting, but serving it 15–30 minutes after opening allows the aromas to open up and express themselves more fully. Serve at 10–12°C for optimal enjoyment.

Drinking Window

2025–2055+. Already approachable with a beautiful balance of richness and freshness. Has the structure and concentration to evolve gracefully for 30 years or more under proper cellar conditions.
