Power, Precision, and Pure Pauillac Grandeur

One of the château’s modern masterpieces! A wine that perfectly balances regal power and sculpted elegance. Considered by many critics as the finest Mouton since 1986 and 2005. The structure is monumental, but the finesse is extraordinary: every layer feels polished, vibrant, and lifted by a beautifully fresh Pauillac backbone

Pairings

Pairs beautifully with richly flavoured dishes that can match its power and elegance, wagyu ribeye, roast lamb with herbs, beef tenderloin with truffle, or slow-braised short ribs. Its deep cassis and cedar notes also complement game birds like duck or pigeon, while the wine’s graphite and spice profile works wonderfully with earthy elements such as mushrooms, black truffle, or a porcini risotto. For cheese, choose firm aged options like Comté, Manchego or a well-matured cheddar.

Tasting Notes

Rich cassis, blackcurrant and graphite on the nose, followed by layers of cedar, cigar box and dark chocolate. The palate is powerful yet silky, with deep black fruit, fine tannins and a long, polished finish. A classic, majestic Mouton built for decades.
