Tasting Notes
A red grape variety originally from Austria, created by crossing Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. It is known for producing wines that are fruit-driven, fresh, and approachable, with good natural acidity and soft tannins. In cool climates, Zweigelt can show an elegant, Pinot-like side while retaining its own lively character, making it both versatile and easy to enjoy.
Pairings
Zweigelt pairs effortlessly with roasted or grilled poultry, pork dishes, and sausages, and works beautifully alongside mushroom-based plates and light game.
